106.66 The Blood
Heavy metal station, originally named The Krunch in development before being renamed to The Blood for release.
Overview
106.66 The Blood is Saints Row: The Third's metal station, the spiritual successor to Saints Row 2's The Krunch. The frequency 106.66 (a half-step below 106.67) is preserved across both games for the gag. The format leans heavier on metalcore, death metal and progressive metal than the SR2 incarnation.
Development history
The station was originally called The Krunch in pre-release Volition data files, in keeping with its Saints Row 2 name. The station was renamed The Blood late in development, but Volition only partially updated the cue prefixes. The data files that ship in the retail game still mix BLOOD-prefixed cues (sweepers, talkovers) with KRUNCH-prefixed cues (some legacy entries), and the Volition Name field reads "Krunch" rather than "The Blood".
This rename quirk is preserved across both names in the archive.
Tracklist
There are 20 licensed songs on the bank. The lineup includes Mastodon's Divinations, Opeth's The Lotus Eaters, Marilyn Manson's Armagoddamnmotherfuckinggeddon, The Dillinger Escape Plan's Farewell, Mona Lisa and Between the Buried & Me's Obfuscation (clocking in at over nine minutes, the longest song on any SR3 station).

Trivia
- The internal cue prefix is BLOOD for sweepers and talkovers, but the station's display Name field still reads Krunch in the data files.
- The frequency 106.66 is one half-step below 106.67 specifically so the dial number reads as three sixes.
- Between the Buried & Me's *Obfuscation* at 9:02 is the longest single track on any Saints Row: The Third radio station.
